Trestle style farmhouse table so first things. First, we're going to go ahead and start out by cutting the legs to this table. I cut eight two by fours the forty-two inches wide. The table itself is going to be for us about 44 inches wide. So keep that in mind now cut two four by fours down to twenty-two and a half inches or cut two by fours down to twenty-two and a half inches and glue them together. And you can do that for both sides. If you don't have non-pressure-treated four by fours set your saw to 45 degrees after you cut one side and flip it over.
It should measure about fifteen inches from the long end. To long end, you'll need to cut eight of this support. Brackets safety always comes first, so whenever cutting small two by fours, like this on the saw, please be sure to use clamps grab a spare 2x4 and then pick the one that you previously cut and bud. It up against the saw and clamp down that spare 2x4 as a guide. So now me to mark the center of your 2x4 mark.
The center of your 4x4 go ahead and glue. It clamps this down and when you drill holes, drill them off to the side of the 4x4 later we're going to need the center of that 2x4 spring screws through normally. I stick one screw on the left and two on the right, and that should be enough to hold it all in place for the next layer of two-by-fours.
Add some glue, clamp it down and then mark your screw holes for about four to five inches from each side also offset one, maybe about one to two inches from the center grab yourself, a level pop it on top of the frame cut some 1 by threes Down to 22 and a half inches just like the center post pop them on the sides, the mallet and what this is going to help do is just going to help stabilize the entire piece and level it out flush so that, when you put the top on This frame, it's not going to be, you know, leaning over by, like a quarter of inch or something crazy like that.
