Horizontal outdoor light fixtures, everything's peeling off of it really all it needs is a new paint job, so I'm going to take it down I'll show you I'll strip it not much to removing this light. Take these little screws off. Oh, I got to find that hang on. All right, I can't find it worry about that later, don't think any Hornets are a shoot out of here. Never done anyway, remove the other screw and I'm trying to do this one-handed.
Thank goodness that looks like last year's Hornets, nice. So first thing I'm going to take the fixture apart right here, nothing to it. Hopefully that screw will be in there. When I come back for got this, that bulb, it's good LED bulb this little plastic thing, slides right out kind of hadn't been out of there in 20 years, Tombaugh get some bigger fools all right. I just got a pair of needle-nose and gave a little tug and it came round.
It comes apart. Just like that. So we'll set this aside, and you got this one thing about this paint, it's coming off very nice. So I'll do this with both parts of the fixture and then show you what I did next after that all right, so I've been scraping for about 20 minutes. It's the same place.I ran into trouble on the last one, this area other than that I got it pretty clean, want to try and get all this little paint off, or else that's we're a start flaking soon, as you put it back out, there's the bottom piece. Let me clean this up and I'll show you a secret weapon. Alright, I don't have a brush or anything, so I'm just going to glob this stuff on here, but this is what I'm you, but I think it said it's like safe for pets. There you go ant plant, but it doesn't stink. I'm sure some of the harsher stuff would probably be faster, but I'm in no rush took them 20 years to get this way, you'll see what what we can do so shake it up.
Some of that on there once you're ready to take it off. You've got a either sponge it down or house it off. Let that get working and I'll show you what it looks like a little later. So it's about two hours later. I left that stuff on and you can see what's happening, got it loosened up a bit anyway.I'm going to go ahead and start cleaning all this off and we'll get back to you all right, yeah, all sanded taped off ready to get for the first coat of primer on it. Hmm, it's just a primer. Okay, you get the idea. Okay, there's the first piece prime red up ready to give a couple drips, but all right second piece with a little bit of primer on it. Looking good, okay, all done, I just need to put it back together and hang it up, but that came out pretty good
