We're really excited when we found this because it's definitely modernized doing step lighting and what this is is that little LED stuff light fixture. It's called a half brick step light, so it's the size of a half a brick and it's the small one. We have these in two sizes. We have the half brick and then we have the full brick. But this is the little half brick and I just wanted to give you a little quick tour, what it was and what it looked like, and it's really simple, it's 12 volts runs to a 12-volt system in the box comes two little connectors.
These are little silicon failed wire nuts, so you can run your power to your step light and it's actually made for outdoor use. It's aluminum, it's cast, it's heavy. It's sealed! You can cast it into concrete. You can put it on a brick wall. You can put it in a wooden step, lots of possibilities, it's affordable, long life only uses one point: seven, six or one point seven, eight watts of power, so incredibly energy efficient lasts a long time and the cool part is. We offer a whole series of step. Light covers now they're offered in two types.
I only have one of them here with me. Today they come with little matching screws, which is really important. We have two types we have one that has the frosted lens. It looks like this and, of course, you can see the reflection, all the lighting above me, I'm going to kind of turn it for you here, so you can get an idea of what that looks like, and these little covers here come in a stainless steel. That's what this one is, this one's a polished, stainless steel comes in aged acid, green, architectural, bronze, antique bronze, black brass, regular, bronze and white.
So we have the whole series now they last a long time but they're out in the environment and the covers aren't very expensive. You might want to consider getting some spares. I know that if I was doing a project I would double up on them just so. You know when they start looking bad and you know a number a number of years you can, you can replace them and have all new again. I would do that. That's just me, but anyway, I want to give you an idea of what this looks like now. It's really hard to turn one of these on in this environment in a studio here, I'm gonna.
Do it anyway, it'll give you kind of an idea of the spread of light that it gives and the intensity now remember. This is a step light, so we're not trying to land aircraft we're trying to just make it. So you can see the steps when you walk down them, so I'm gonna go shut off the studio lights here and then I'm gonna run this into some twelve volts and give you kind of an idea what it looks like so kind of darkened, a room here a little bit, the lighting that's left in here is just the natural light. That's coming in from the workshop windows, which I think it's a good idea, gives you a good idea of where we're gonna go and I'm gonna turn it sideways.
So when it comes on it doesn't just flash up into the camera and distort everything. So here let me let me run this over. I've got some little lead setup here, ready to go. There are some 12 volts on it. So there we go so I'm gonna turn it around here and just light the area now on the step. You know this. This would be a oh. I don't know it's a few inches and I'm getting a very wide about a hundred and sixty degree beam spread out here. It is straight down, so you got a nice even illumination and then, when you put the lens in front of it, you know it'll be it'll be frost, so it'll it'll, frost it down and, as I said, this comes in two different types comes in just this lens or comes in the louvers, where it just aims all the light straight down, because you want to avoid glare, you know I pace it, place it low and consider where the glare might go and you can see it puts that puts out a good amount of light all LED actually puts out more light than the old incandescent ones. Did that uses a little automotive bulbs and just to give you an idea really one of our biggest sellers already, even though we just added this to our line. People really like this one and the bigger one, obviously twice a light.
